چکیده

Abstract Background Bear bile powder is a precious natural material characterized by high content of tauroursodeoxycholic acid (TUDCA) at ratio 1.00–1.50 to taurochenodeoxycholic (TCDCA). Results In this study, we use the crude enzymes from engineered Saccharomyces cerevisiae directionally convert TCDCA chicken TUDCA committed in vitro. This S. strain was modified with heterologous 7α-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase (7α-HSDH) and 7β-hydroxysteroid (7β-HSDH) genes. host HSDH gene combinatorial optimization response surface methodology applied get best optimal biotransformation condition, respectively, under which 10.99 ± 0.16 g/L products containing 36.73 6.68% 28.22 6.05% were obtained using 12.00 as substrate. Conclusion study provides healthy environmentally friendly way produce potential alternative resource for bear cheap readily available powder, also gives reference green manufacturing other rare endangered animal-derived valuable resource.

In this researchsaccharomyces cerevisiae (baker’s yeast) was used as a cheap, readily accessible, selective, efficient, and green bio-catalyst in a chemo selective reduction of carbonyl group to hydroxyl group. In this green procedure three substrates e.g. (3-(3-nitrophenyl)aziridin-2-yl)-1-phenyl-methanone, pyruvate ester, and 2-acetyl-γ-butyrolactone were r...

Saccharomyces cerevisiae engineered for xylose metabolism exhibits a respiratory response.

Native strains of Saccharomyces cerevisiae do not assimilate xylose. S. cerevisiae engineered for d-xylose utilization through the heterologous expression of genes for aldose reductase (XYL1), xylitol dehydrogenase (XYL2), and d-xylulokinase (XYL3 or XKS1) produce only limited amounts of ethanol in xylose medium. In recombinant S. cerevisiae expressing XYL1, XYL2, and XYL3, mRNA transcript leve...
